Investment Potential of The Region
The Krasnodar Territory is one of 5 leading Russian regions in terms of investment activities and investment prospects:
• 1st place in the South Federal District and 5th place in Russia in terms of volumes of invited investments. For a few years the region was maintaining the annual raise of investments at the level of 25 per cent. In 2008 the volume of investments exceeded, according to preliminary data, 318 billions dollars with a raise of 120.5 %. Investment rate exceeds twofold the average rate in Russia.
• 7th place among Russian regions with the lowest investment risks.
• 2nd place in the rating of Russian regions in terms of legislative activities in the area of investments.
• 1st place in the competitiveness rating of Russian regions.
The rating of the Krasnodar Territory in the world business community is quite high: the ''Standard & Poor's'' agency has attributed to it the ''BB'' international investment rating (with positive outlook). Besides, the Territory is one of seven Russian regions with the lowest investment risks, and takes the second place in the rating of Russian regions in terms of legislative activity in the area of investments.
In conformity with the 13th rating of investment prospects of different regions of Russia drawn up by analysts of the ''Expert RA'' rating agency, the Investment Rating of the Krasnodar Territory amounts to 1A (Highest potential - Lowest risk).
Since 2001 the social and economic situation has been dynamically changing for the better. Intense interest to the Krasnodar Territory as to a region with high potential is always growing; investment opportunities of the Territory give impulse to active development of both big business and small enterprises.
Among all the cities of the Krasnodar Territory the most vivid interest from the standpoint of investment is generated by Krasnodar owing to successful development of economy and sensible anti-crisis management. This is the crossroads of transport and infrastructure flows; moreover, Krasnodar attracts influence and interest of the State authorities.
Krasnodar was twice, in 2008 and 2009, acknowledged by Forbes to be ''The Best City for Business in Russia''.
